15TH ANNUAL SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS 2009

The 15th Screen Actor Guild Awards were held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Forest Whitaker presented James Earl Jones with the Screen Actors Guild's highest honor, the 45th Annual Life Achievement Award following a filmed tribute.

The awards included the following:

Best Ensemble Cast: 'Slumdog Millionaire'
Best Actor: Sean Penn in 'Milk'
Best Actress: Meryl Streep in 'Doubt'
Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger in 'The Dark Knight'
Supporting Actress: Kate Winslet in 'The Reader'

GOLDEN GLOBES WINNERS 2009

There was fierce competition at the annual Golden Globe Awards where some of those passed over for Academy Award nominations were hoping to take top honors. Results were as follows:
